He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer for Sydney University and a VDO at Westmead’s Oral Health IV sedation department. External examiner for the Intravenous sedation diploma at the University of Sydney. He teaches Nitrous Oxide Relative Analgesia, Anxiety and Pain management, IV Sedation and Medical Emergency Management to Dental Undergraduates and Post Graduate Students. Formally the Secretary for the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthetists 2012-2022. Dr Preketes also treats patients at his Macquarie St Practice with an emphasis in Relative Analgesia & IV Sedation.
(BDS,FICD, FPFA) has previously provided training in Singapore, New Zealand and throughout Australia. He is a past President and past Treasurer of the Australian Society of Dental Anaesthesiology (ASDA), Dr Walker is the Clinical Senior Lecturer for Diploma in Intravenous Sedation at the University of Sydney , and is also the external examiner for the Intravenous Sedation Diploma at the University of Sydney. Dr Walker has been a credentialed assessor for AHPRA and currently sits on the Dental Board conscious sedation advisory panel. Dr Walker has been a consultant for a number of state health departments for Sedation and Anaesthesia in Dentistry and has been involved with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists consultation committee on PS-09 Guidelines for sedation in inteventional medical, dental or surgical procedures. Dr Walker also runs a very busy full time private sedation practice providing Nitrous Oxide sedation and Intravenous Sedation daily.
